Is it Friday Yet?

Random Thoughts of the Day:

• I just read that Twilight 2 is slated to come out next November. Now, I liked Twilight but, seriously, November is Harry Potter time! If I had to choose between the two, I'd choose Harry, Ron, and Hermione any day...stop horning in on our beloved HP!

• Why exactly is Wednesday designated "hump day?" Who started this tradition? Do people take it seriously? Is Wednesday a better day to...ummm...hump...than any other day of the week?
  

• Why are there so many different ways to spell Channukah? I mean, I can kinda understand dropping the "C" to save some confusion but there are like 8 other variations! Can't we, as a society, put aside our knack for indecision and come up with one uniform spelling?

• Why does a work week consist of 5 days and a weekend only of 2? What kind of ratio is that and who came up with the preposterous idea? If I was president, I'd make it a 4 to 3 work week to weekend ratio...I think the world would be a much better place, or, at least happier!

Welcome to my world bitches!

Hey all! This is my very first post on my very first blog so let me introduce myself. My name's Elizabeth but you can call me Lizzy B...or Gorgeous Borges, whichever you prefer haha! Ok, now that that's out of the way, let me just jump right in...

This week has been absolute hell, at least as far as work goes. In a time like this, I'm grateful to have a job but, damn, this week really made unemployment seem like a nice alternative. I've been on a neverending hunt to find an intern to help lighten my load a bit but it appears that nobody wants to work for free--shocking! At least my boss is not crazy...oh wait, she is! I mean, seriously, the woman is nuttier than a jar of Skippy. Must be all the botox. Can't wait to see what's in store next week (yes, that was sarcasm)!

This week also marked the start of my 'training' at the gym. Johnny D a.k.a Coach has been tough but if my complete body soreness is any indication, I should be rocking a seriously hot bod in a few months. I can honestly say that I've been enjoying the gym a lot more than I used to...maybe it's the fact that there is some seriously decent eye candy there, as opposed to the estrogen filled matchbox that was Lucille Roberts. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

I have to give a shout out to my Dec. 13 babies--Burlick, Kellz Bellz, J. Neri and Sam--Happy Birthday you crazy kids and thanks for all being born on the same day, thus, making celebrations for this weekend ridiculously overextended. Yesterday was Burlick's festivities at the Shannon Rose and I suppose only one word could be used to describe the event--Shenanigans! You never know what you're going to get when you hang out with B-lick but you can rest assured that it will be a good time. Tonight should be fun as well, though, I'm a little nervous about stepping out into the brutal Jersey winter weather in my brand new mini skirt...alas, beauty is pain or, in this case, cold!

For the last portion of this extremely long post (and I thank those of you who are actually still reading at this point), I would like to review my favorite tv shows which are now officially hibernating for the winter:

One Tree Hill
Loving the idea of Brooke and Julian as a couple! Hating all the Peyton drama--enough already, just kill her! Speaking of killing, my cousin Mariana says that she heard they were going to kill off Lucas. I highly doubt that's true but it would be interesting since it would finally put an end to the Lucas-Peyton-Brooke saga once and for all. And of course, as always, Jaime is adorable!!!!!

Gossip Girl
I love Chuck and Blair--they are so damn cute together! And Blair's scene with Cyrus was just adorable...hopefully Cyrus is around for the long haul because he adds so much to the show. Backtracking a little bit, I have to say that I'm very disappointed in the way all of this Nate-Vanessa-Jenny thing unfolded. Nate is just becoming a man whore and I HATE Vanessa so she really needs to go!

Grey's Anatomy
WTF is with the Denny-Izzie situation? I hate it, he's dead so can we just keep him there please? Izzie needs to be with Alex and that's it! I am happy about Lexie and McSteamy, their relationship should be fun to watch. Although, her whole speech about 'teaching' her...umm, does she need to be taught how to have sex cause that's just weird!
